It's been a while since we've introduced CATALYST LLC to the world. This month, we're showcasing our founders, our values, our mission and our programs that serve people like you. We start with our story.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. 📖 So does Catalyst. At Catalyst, we call it our 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓻𝔂. 💛

𝕎𝕙𝕪?

When Tia and Jill met online in 2019, they felt an instant connection. They talked, talked, and talked some more for TWO YEARS knowing their paths were meant to cross.

They laughed, cried, felt frustration, and held space for each other as they shared stories of working long, hard, thankless hours in the food industry.  

They also shared dreams, hopes, and visions of how life could be, and should be, for people working in food. A world where we, as leaders, can take care of people MUCH better than we do today (even in the imperfect systems that currently exist) AND drive business growth and results simultaneously. They knew that Leadership requires a different skill set than being an Expert.

When Tia and Jill met, they were working on their own, coaching and consulting. They quickly realized they could do MORE and help MORE people by working together; thus, Catalyst was born.

It's a love story of building a company that is driven to transform how people lead in food.

𝗜𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆. 𝕎𝕙𝕪?

𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙅𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙞𝙖 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪. They became professional coaches to better serve the people they work with before they become entrepreneurs. As entrepreneurs, they've had to learn every single aspect of business in a completely new way.  One of their saving graces was knowing what they don't know to ask for help, hire experts, and continue learning.

𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙬. The food world has never seen a company like Catalyst. People are being educated about what Catalyst is about, how It is different, and why It gets results in a new way.

At times, running a brand-new business that offers a brand-new approach to leadership can be exhausting. Yet Tia and Jill have NEVER considered giving up.

Tia and Jill keep going because they KNOW the food industry is at 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 stage. If the food industry wants to attract and retain talent, it needs to focus on the whole-being, well-being of its team members.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: How is Catalyst transforming leaders differently than other leadership programs?

First, 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤'𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨. We get you. That's why we provide real, relatable solutions for daily life.  After an on-site workshop with one client, their HR team said "We can do that for you".  Our client said, "No, no, you can't. You've never worked in a plant."  Enough said.

Second, 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮. Catalyst honors differences in race, gender, age, and experiences as they contribute to invaluable perspectives that open eyes, hearts, and minds. When we allow people to be their authentic selves, they achieve more personally and professionally.

Third, 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. As professional, certified coaches, as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Catalyst programs are based on pure coaching principles that ask people to reflect on themselves to better support others. Coaching-based programs improve teamwork, productivity, and business management strategies.

Lastly, 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙏𝙊𝙂𝙀𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍. We co-create solutions with clients because people aren't made from cookie cutters. We know partnerships and integration honors the work we do together and with clients.
